On Crossings

"Ben Goldfarb is the kind of gonzo environmental journalist Hunter S. Thompson would have loved. Crossings, his meditation on the ecological devastation roads and highways inflict—and on the very clever responses from humans and other creatures that road life demands—is an absolute shining star of a book." -- Dan Flores, author of Coyote America and Wild New World

On September 20, conservation journalist Ben Goldfarb will join us to share from his latest book, Crossings: How Road Ecology Is Shaping The Future of Our Planet.
Everyone who registers for this event will be entered into a drawing for this new book.
Our conversation with him will center on the mountain lion population in the Santa Monica Mountains, delving into the new science of road ecology to explore how roads have transformed our world. Expect a wry, witty, and ultimately optimistic take on the serious subject of ending the extinction crisis.
